Catalent employee.The Facilities HVAC Specialist I troubleshoots
and repairs industrial site Heating, Ventilation, and
Refrigeration. The Facilities HVAC Specialist I will assist in
maintaining oversight and ownership of the HVAC/R systems, which
includes all the various connected and separate electrical,
mechanical, safety, etc. systems that are operational in a
facility; ensure that measures are taken to operate all specialized
systems in the most efficient manner to keep operating costs at a

Role
- Demonstrate working knowledge of boiler, steam and water
treatment systems.
- Install, program, and troubleshoot variable frequency motor
drive systems.
- Provide routine support of site manufacturing and facility
operations, specifically relating to HVAC/R systems.
- With assistance, modify existing mechanical systems to
incorporate building system changes and provide engineering support
to resolve interruption issues to process HVAC/R equipment and
building controls infrastructure.
- Respond quickly to emergency situations and alarms, summoning
additional assistance as needed and coordinate work with other
departments to minimize downtime; perform installations
modifications, repairs, preventive maintenance and
calibrations.
- Maintain appropriate monitoring, maintenance, service, repair
and calibration records and logs.
- Complete quality and safety documentation and completion of the
work in a safe, compliant, and timely manner according to planning
and predefined schedules with minimal impact to production while
aligning with GMPs, SOPs and Amgen policies and regulations.
- Identify opportunities to learn new skills and actively
participate in development that will improve overall team
performance.
- All other duties as assigned.The Candidate
- Associate degree in Air Conditioning Heating and Refrigeration
or related discipline with at least 1 year of experience as a
commercial/industrial refrigeration mechanic or
- High school diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of
experience as a commercial/industrial refrigeration mechanic.
- Experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory and production
environment preferred.
- Valid driver's license.
- Familiarity with pharmaceutical industry guidelines such as
ISPE Baseline Guidelines, GAMP, ISO, and ISA standards.
- Familiarity with FDA cGMP, FDA regulations 21CFR Part 11, OSHA,
and local and state code regulations.
- Knowledge of electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management System
(CMMS).
- Ability to lift in excess of 50 lbs. unassisted.
- Majority of workday is performed while standing, walking,
lifting, pulling and pushing.--
- Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine
manipulations.
- Requires bending, squatting, reaching, pushing, climbing.
- Some exposure to hazardous chemicals and other active
