What You'll Do in This Position

The hourly base rate of pay for this internship starts at $18.00, and may increase based on major and class standing.

Scope is to support Savannah River Plutonium Processing Facility (SRPPF) Project Management Department with Data Capture, Mining, and Analytical activities.

Work individually or on teams under the guidance of senior personnel to develop solutions for project management. Assignments will include:
* Quantitative Modeling of existing data sources
* Conduct basic queries in information systems to provide accurate data to more senior peers and customers
* Provide assistance to more senior peers in developing analyses and presentations
* Research new analytical products and methods
* Develop new reports and maintain/enhance existing ones
* Provide custom interfaces for data dashboards and reports
* Effective and professional communication skills, both written and oral

Have a working knowledge of some of the following software applications or languages:
* Microsoft Power Platform
* Power BI
* Power Automate
* Power Apps
* SharePoint
* Python
* Oracle
* R and/or SQL

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship. Factors such as pre-employment background review results, dual citizenship status, and unpaid and/or unfiled taxes may impact your ability to obtain a security clearance. Qualifications We Require

Must have a cumulative GPA of at least 2.5.

Must be a full-time student at an accredited four-year college or university, or within one year after finishing a degree program.

Must have completed freshman year of college.

Must successfully complete Savannah River Site General Employee Training and substance abuse processing.
