Environmental Services Supervisor--FLSA: Full-time/Non-Exempt--We are looking for an exceptional Environmental Services Supervisor to join our practice!--Physicians East, PA is a multi-specialty, multi-campus group based out of Greenville, NC offering a wide range of specialties. In addition to primary care the practice offers pulmonary and critical care medicine, rheumatology, dermatology, oncology, endocrinology, cardiology, obstetrics and gynecology, gastroenterology, surgery, urology, and urgent care. Our 102 providers and over 600 employees provide services for thousands of patients in a 29-county region. This is a working supervisor, performing tasks to ensure that the Practice is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.--Supervision Received:--Reports to Facility Services Manager; Director of Operations.--Supervision Exercised:--Supervises environmental services staff as assigned.--Typical Physical Demands:--Requires prolonged standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Requires frequent lifting and moving of items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.--Typical Working Conditions:--This job operates in a professional office environment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions.--Responsibilities--Coordinates and oversees the actives and actions assigned to environmental services staff--Ability to manage, teach staff as well as ensuring that staff is kept current on required educations--Daily and weekly inspections to ensure housekeeping duties are being performed and to ensure that procedures are being rendered to meet the needs of the facility--Evaluates productivity and quality of work of each employee and determines additional training needs--Reports occupational exposure to bodily fluids, infectious materials, and hazardous chemicals in accordance with the facility's policies and procedures governing accidents and incidents--Ensure that uniforms and personnel protective equipment is worn correctly and effectively.--Assists and/or leads environmental services orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment--Makes recommendations to improve service and ensure more efficient operation--Examines building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management--Works with Human Resources to screen job applicants, along with recommending promotions, transfers, corrective action, and dismissals--Investigates complaints regarding environmental services and equipment and takes corrective action--Ability to communicate with the Procurement department and outside vendors to ensure stock levels and equipment are available and maintained properly.--Participates in departmental budget planning and supplies for environmental services--Must be able to perform all job duty responsibilities of partners in the environmental services department--Attends educational seminars--Attends meetings as needed, gather needed information for preparation of meeting--Display high level of confidentiality, integrity, and initiative--Excellent organization and team management skills--Ability to use industrial cleaning equipment and products including--Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends--Monitor and approve payroll for staff under your supervision.--Conduct meetings with staff to ensure proper communication and standards are being met throughout the organization.--Exhibits the ability to teach others how to do their jobs in a friendly, courteous, and effective manner--All other duties as assigned--Location & commitments--Full-time role based at our Greenville Arlington Blvd. location, various shifts equaling to 8 hours and may include evenings and some weekends.
