Provides instruction to OR staff via in-service programs and on an individual basis. Under the supervision of Nurse Management is responsible for educating staff on new equipment and annual equipment check offs.Qualifications:RN license from NC or compact state.BSN or ADN with the understanding that enrollment in a BSN program within 12 months is required and completion of the BSN must occur within 2 years of hire.Surgical Service Educator certification within 2 years of being role as Nurse Educator.Preferred: Knowledge in use of operating room instruments, equipment, and procedures.Experience: 5 years of clinical experience and/or 5 years of progressively responsible nursing experience relative to the designated clinical services. Working knowledge and familiarity with major OR equipment.
