  • General Information: 30 beds
  • Minimum Experience required: Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
  • Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes
  • Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: Urology, Orthopedic, Bariatric, Surgical Patients (Colon Resection, Gallbladder), appendectomy, Medical patients (COPD, Pneumonia, Acute Renal Failure), Acute chest pain, Stroke, Covid
  • Some Cardiac overflow but will not manage cardiac drips
  • Heparin and Protonix drips only
  • Patient Ratios: RN: 1:6, CNA: 1:12
  • Skills required: Performs patient assessments, formulates nursing diagnoses, and develops/documents nursing care plans, Implements care plans and makes revision accordingly, Evaluates patient care outcomes, Accomplishes assigned aspects of the physician's treatment plan, Collaborates with physicians and other members of the health care team, Performs clinical and technical patient care procedures, and assists physicians with treatments and procedures, Communicates with patients and oversees the provision of care for their personal needs, Provides patient and/or family with instruction and education relevant to patient's condition, Documents nursing observations, assessment, medications, treatments and other care given, Oversees the patient care provided by Nursing Assistant
  • Support on the Unit: CNA, Unit Secretary on dayshift, Charge nurse, Phlebotomy, Resource Nurse, RT, Hospitalist, Remote Telemetry monitoring with Tele Tech
  • Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner Community Works, IV pumps: ICU Medical Plum 360, Medication dispensing: Omnicell, Monitors: Phillips
  • Floating: Between 5th and 6th floor - MED/Surg-Tele departments
  • Orientation: Required to complete Nursing Modules online, 1-12hr shift orientation on the department

    • Required Certifications: RN: BLS (required), ACLS (required), CPI (preferred), NIHSS (preferred)
    • CNA: BLS (required), CPI (preferred)
    • Minimum of 2 years nursing experience
      • Schedule Information
      • Required Weekend rotation: Every other weekend
      • On call? No
      • Holiday Expectations: discussed during interview
      • OT available
      • RTO: Manager approval required
