ECU Health Physicians and the Department of Pediatrics at East
Carolina University s Brody School of Medicine are seeking a Board
Eligible/Board Certified Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist to join
their growing division. The Brody School of Medicine Hematology and
Oncology division provides treatment and research opportunities for
rare cancers and blood diseases including sickle cell, cancer and
hemophilia as well as all hematologic disorders including disorders
of the immune system.

pediatric hematologists/oncologists, an oncology pharmacist, nurse

psychologists, child life specialists, and social workers Inpatient
and outpatient clinical responsibilities Shared Call Nationally
recognized and funded hemophilia treatment center with a robust

recognized Comprehensive Sickle Cell Center Teaching and clinical
supervision of medical students, residents, and other health
professional trainees Clinical responsibilities will include direct
patient care and teaching and research in the areas of pediatric

James and Connie Maynard Children's HospitalThe James and Connie
Maynard Children s Hospital, located on the campus of ECU Health
Medical Center, is designed to care for children from newborns to
18 years of age (and up to 21 years of age is patient is being
followed by a pediatric physician). The 206,499 square foot 198-bed
facility provides highly specialized services including a pediatric
intensive care (PICU), neonatal intensive care (NICU), kids
immunosuppressed specialty unit (KISU), specialty care nursery,
mother-baby unit, pediatric ECMO services, 24/7 children s
emergency department, acute dialysis and continuous renal
replacement therapy (CRRT), pediatric radiology, pediatric
rehabilitation, general surgery, cardiovascular surgery,
neurosurgery, and craniofacial surgery. The James and Connie
