Any call offs or additional RTO on unit, could possibly turn into a cancel and DNR.WILL CERT FOR CHEMO**will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patients**REQUIRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP:Minimum Years of Experience: 1 yearTraveler Experience: Will accept 1st time travelers.Locals Accepted / Rate Difference: YesSkills: Administer chemo. Experience in an inpatient setting is requiredCerts: Chemotherapy administration certification is required prior to start; required to obtain prior to start. Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert! BLS.PREFERRED SKILLS / CERTS / EXP: CPI. Charge nurse experience.JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Shift:NIGHTS; Unit will accept contracts from 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop) to get the unit through the holidays!RTO: 7 days MAX; DAYS; 36 or 48 hours. If 48 then no OT billed until after 48.Call Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***Talent Healthcare Staffing Inc Job ID #2634609.
