  • NC or Compact License
  • Minimum 1 Years of Experience
  • Experience in an inpatient setting is required
  • Skills: Administer chemo
  • BLS
  • Chemotherapy administration certification
  • CPI--preferred
  • OCN--preferred
  • Charge nurse experience preferredOther details:
    • Will accept travelers that do not currently have the ONC cert
    • Locals accepted
    • UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR
    • Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty
    • Ratios: 1:6-7
    • Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location

Charge nurse experience.JOB DETAILS: will work with oncology as well as medical surgical patientsTarget Ratios: 1:6-7Shift:NIGHTS; 36 13-26 weeks acceptedCall Requirement: Call required if called off on a prescheduled shift.Float Requirement: Floating required to similar units and alternate care locations with inpatients holding, such as inpatient holding in the ED, or any alternate medical patient care location.Weekend Requirement: *EVERY OTHER WEEKEND REQUIRED.** Contract staff will be assigned and expected to work a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team. Contract staff may be required to report to work during a catastrophic event, mass casualty or disaster. Consolidation to the Centralized Office mid contract may occur and the contract staff may be preassigned to units as neededPATIENT DIAGNOSES: High Acuity Adults and Geriatrics.**Contract staff may be required to care for patients with COVID.SPECIAL PROCEDURES / UNIT DETAILS: Daily Census 42.General medical-surgical diagnosis primary patient population. Administration of chemotherapy/biotherapy -IV, PO, or injection. DKA - Insulin drip, AKI, Sepsis, Cancer, Septic shock, Pain, OD, Malignant Neoplasms, ARF, Encephalopathy, FTT, Diabetic foot ulcers, Heparin drips.UNIT SYSTEMS (Medication, Documentation, Communication): PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR.UNIT ORIENTATION: 24 hrs (2 shifts)SCRUBS: Navy Blue and white.*** INTERNAL NOTES ******Must pass EKG Testing prior to start for this specialty***Unit:--106-10-6S Medicine - RNEpic Travel Staffing:
